So, gave blood today. I will regale you, the reader, with this horribly unpleasant experience. It wasn't the people so much as I had to get both my middle fingers and both my elbows pricked, and not in the fun way. I am not, apparently, a very good bleeder. My hemocrit was low on my left finger, so we go to my right. Exact same fucking thing happened last time, except it only went up a couple points last time and it went from 11.8 to 13.9 this time. WTF. After this enjoyable time, getting my fingers pricked is always my absolute favorite part of giving blood, I learned that Ibuprofen=/= Aspirin. Go figure. Then, my left arm stopped bleeding before they could fill those test vial-thingies up and I had to let them stick a needle in my other arm.
So. Fun. Not so much.
And the worst part is, I know I'm going to do it again. They give us free tee-shirts, how can I not?
